MOCRA is an acronym. It stands for ‘Mothers of Children Conceived in Rape and Abuse’. We are a charity founded in 2020 by Dr Jessica Taylor to provide support and advice to women and girls who become pregnant from rape, sexual abuse, exploitation, trafficking and incest. We also aim to provide services for children who find that they were conceived in acts of rape and sexual violence against their mothers.
A new service to support women and girls across England, we aim to use our expertise to develop services, campaigns, lobbying, training and resources to educate, raise awareness and improve the responses to women and girls who become pregnant from male violence.
